The brief
Basilic is an Italian restaurant in the heart of Kamperland. The kitchen revolves around homemade pasta, stone-oven pizzas, and fish and meat dishes with fresh Italian and local ingredients. Guests come for lunch, dinner, or drinks, and the restaurant is also booked for parties and events.
The website had to make that warm atmosphere felt online and quickly help visitors with the three things they come for: viewing the menu, ordering takeaway, and reserving a table.
The approach
We let the food and the interior tell the story. Every section opens with large photography, alternating with calm light panels that give the text room to breathe. A classic serif for the headings and gold-colored buttons give the whole a polished, Italian feel.
Menu, Takeaway, and Reservations are fixed in the navigation, so they are one click away from every page. Guest reviews and the opening hours sit right on the homepage, so hesitant visitors immediately see what others think and when they can drop by.
