The brief
LOVEissue makes jewelry and accessories in its own studio: bracelets, necklaces, charms, and twilly scarves, for children and adults. Every piece is handmade, from materials including stainless steel, freshwater pearls, and colorful beads.
LOVEissue sells in two ways: directly to consumers, and to stores in several countries that order per country through an agency. The online store ran on WooCommerce. The goal was one environment where both channels come together, with the same assortment, separate prices per channel, and one stock count that is always accurate.
The approach
Photography takes center stage. The homepage opens with large images for kids and adults, followed by the categories as large image tiles. A calm, light base with warm accents in burgundy, pink, and olive green lets the colors of the jewelry speak. The story of the studio gets its own place, so visitors see that everything is made by hand, piece by piece.
The B2B portal uses the same visual language, so retailers recognize the brand right away. The difference is in what you see after logging in: your own prices, volume tiers, and an order list that suits business purchasing.
One backend, two online stores
Underneath the online store and the B2B portal runs one backend that I built for LOVEissue, with its own admin environment alongside. Products, stock, customers, prices, orders, invoices, and commissions live in one place, and all calculation and stock logic runs on the server. WooCommerce is no longer needed: the existing catalog was moved over in one go, and the invoice numbers of the old store simply carry on.
Both stores sell from the same stock. Every change, from purchasing and sales to returns and corrections, is recorded as an entry with a reason and a user. An online store order is deducted as soon as it is paid. A store ordering in the portal reserves the items in the cart already, so two stores can never order the same last items at the same time.
Prices come from one pricing engine, from a contract per customer and prices per agency or country to a general wholesale price, with volume tiers on top. VAT follows from the country, and business customers within the EU with a valid VAT number get VAT reverse-charged.
A business order starts as a proforma. The team checks the stock, then comes the invoice with a payment term, and the commission for the agency is recorded.
What the platform does
- An online store with payment via Mollie, discount codes, and shipping via MyParcel
- A B2B portal where agencies register stores per country and place orders
- Proforma, stock check, and invoice with a payment term for business orders
- One stock for both channels, with reservations in the B2B cart
- Pricing rules per customer, agency, country, and price group, with volume tiers
- Commissions for agencies, recorded per order
- An admin environment as an installable app, with push notifications for new orders
- Online store, portal, and admin in Dutch, English, German, French, and Spanish
- An MCP server that lets an AI assistant perform the same tasks as the admin
Handmade,
piece by piece.
